~ Water Filtration System – We purchased, through donations, an eco-friendly salt-less water filtration system. This system filters – without bleach – all tap and shower water for maximum health to our clients. No trace minerals are not lost in the process.
~ Permaculture Land Improvements
- Raising Red Waddle heritage pigs (an endangered species) for grazing, land improvement, manure, and consuming food waste.
- Planted a walnut & almost orchard
- Utilizing literally tons of cardboard recycling to create “swales” for water retention of the land
~ Tea & Coffee – Organic & Fair Trade
~ Chocolate – Organic & Fair Trade
~ Room Spray – Typically full of chemicals, we only stock our rooms with all-natural bathroom deodorizers.
~ Recycling – We recycle all paper, glass, plastics, cardboard, tin, light bulbs and batteries.
~ Food Waste – All food waste goes to feeding Benson & Sweet Pea – our two red waddle heritage endangered pigs.
~ Laundry Detergents – We use only eco-friendly detergents for all room linen.
~ LED Light Bulbs – Replacing all light bulbs for energy efficiency.
~ Shampoo & Conditioners – 100% natural.
~ Eliminating Plastics – By purchasing shampoo & conditioner dispensers, we are eliminating unnecessary single-use disposable plastics.
~ Dual Flush Toilets – For water conservation.
~ Drip System Irrigation – For water conservation.
~ No Plastic Water Bottles – We offer 100% stainless steel water bottle for use and for sale which is better for people’s health and the environment.
~ Gift Shop – We offer only locally made products or fair trade global products.
Currently Working Towards
~ Purchasing all locally grown organic foods.
~ Building our own green house, hoop house or grow dome for food production.
~ Canning and freezing all locally grown foods to eliminate purchasing in plastics or plastic-lined cans.
