Surrounded by nature’s beauty and serenity Chef Massion says, “this is the perfect setting to build harmony between the world around us and what we put into our bodies…. they should complement each other!”
Chef Louise Massion was born in Brooklyn, NY. Her culinary mind was sparked early with the smells and tastes of Eastern European cooking, through the influence of her immigrant parents. As a small child, Louise remembers often choosing to stay in the kitchen watching and helping her mother instead of going outside to play with the other kids.
Although, Chef Massion always enjoyed being in the kitchen and feeding people, she chose to pursue her academia and went on to get a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in the fields of History and Education, before shifting her focus to the culinary field. It was while living in Prague, CZ that she came to the realization that food and cooking were her biggest passions.
Chef Massion is a graduate of Le Cordon Bleu in Portland, OR. She has worked with ethnic cuisine, gourmet foods, comfort-food style cooking, as well as healthy, organic, vegetarian and vegan menus. She has a special interest in Mediterranean, Middle Eastern, Eastern European and Indian Cuisines. Chef Massion believes, we should all think about the food choices we make, and is supporter of the sustainable food movement and supporting local farmers. Currently, Chef Massion works at the Sophia Peace Center in beautiful Dolores, CO.
